Happy Dog Rescue was organized in 2003 by a small group of volunteers in Tennessee to rescue dogs from shelters and rehome them locally with loving families.

Our adoption process has been refined over the years to be efficient, effective and user friendly for our adopters and to help us match the right Happy Dog to the right Forever Family.

Since 2003 we've been matching loving and loyal Happy Dogs with wonderful Forever Families in the Northeast.
At Happy Dog Rescue all our dogs are living in foster homes where they can be loved and nurtured and evaluated for temperament and suitability for living with kids, cats and other dogs.
Happy Dogs remain in Southern foster homes until they are adopted by their Forever Families in the Northeast.
Happy Dogs are altered, vaccinated, treated for any intestinal parasites, tested for heartworms, placed on flea/ heartworm prevention.
Happy Dogs travel every week from the South to the Northeast aboard USDA-certified professional transport carriers.
